Chicken Tikka Masala is a famous chicken Indian cuisine or Punjabi dish. Chicken tikka masala is made up of skewers of boneless pieces of chicken that is marinated in special spices and yogurt and then baked in a clay based oven known as tandoor. The Indian chicken tikka recipe or murgh tikka masala recipe is much more spicier compared to the Afghanistan chicken tikka and this is one of the top chicken tikka masala recipes.

Ingredients for chicken masala tikka recipe

  • 700g boneless chicken leg

  • 1 1/4 cups hung yogurt

  • 1 teaspoons crushed garlic

  • 1 1/4 teaspoons crushed garlic

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons chili paste

  • 1 tablespoons oil

  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice

  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1 1/2 teaspoon garam masala

How to make Chicken Tikka Masala

  • the chicken should be cut into 3 1/2 cm cubes

  • the chicken should then be mix together with all the marinade ingredients

  • the mixture is then put into the refrigerator for about three hours to marinate

  • thread the chicken on skewers

  • brush the chicken with vegetable oil

  • cook the chicken over charcoal or under a hot grill for seven minutes

  • turn the chicken at least twice

  • make sure the chicken is golden brown in color

  • serve this recipe chicken tikka masala with mint and coriander chutney

  • you can also add onion rings, lemon wedges and Indian bread or roti such as naan
