Ingredients for green mangoes chutney recipe

  • 3 unripe green mangoes

  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame seeds

  • 3-4 broken in 2.5 cm lengths dried chillies

  • 2 medium-sized chopped onions

  • 2 tablespoons desiccated coconut

  • 1 sprig curry leaves

  • 1 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves

  • 1 teaspoon oil

  • 1 teaspoon black mustard seeds

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons split Bengal gram (channa dal)

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

How to make Green Mango Chutney

  • peel off the mangoes skins

  • throw away the seeds

  • chop the mangoes flesh coarsely

  • saute the chillies and sesame seeds until they become crisp

  • add the flesh of the mango, chillies, coriander leaves, curry leaves, coconut, onion and sesame seeds

  • grind until the combination becomes coarsely

  • heat oil

  • fry the dal and mustard seeds until the mustard seeds begin the pop

  • pour into the mango mixture

  • mix and add salt to this mango chutney recipe

  • serve the Indian mango chutney immediately while the mango chutney is still fresh
