Lamb And Corn Curry Recipe is a unique
Indian curry recipe that is known as makai gosht. This Indian lamb
curry recipe cooked using sweetcorn is from Rajasthan and this
Rajasthani lamb curry is a combination of curry lamb and corn dal.
Ingredients for lamb and corn curry recipe

1 1/4 kg boneless lamb cut in 2 1/2 cm

2 tablespoons ghee or oil

3 cloves
-
4 green bruised cardamom pods
-
1 1/2 cm cinnamon stick

1 1/2 blade mace
-
4 chopped large-sized onions
-
6 cm chopped ginger
-
5 chopped cloves garlic
-
4 green de-seeded and chopped chilies
-
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
-
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
-
3 1/2 tablespoons toasted and ground coriander seeds

120 g fresh sweetcorn kernels
-
1 cup plain yogurt
-
2 1/2 tablespoons soaked and ground to a paste cashews

1/2 cup cream
-
coriander leaf to garnish
-
shredded ginger to garnish

1/2 teaspoon salt
How to make Indian Lamb And Corn Curry
-
heat the ghee or oil
-
saute the cardamoms, cinnamon, cloves and mace
-
add the lamb meat
-
saute the lamb meat until all the liquid from the lamb has dried up
-
blend the garlic, ginger and onions together to obtain a paste
-
add paste to the lamb meat
-
also add the chili powder, coriander, green chilies and turmeric to make this Indian curry lamb recipe

saute the above mixture until the oil separates
-
add in the sweetcorn kennels, yogurt and water to cover the lamb meat, salt and cashew-nut paste

simmer until the lamb meat is tender and the gravy become thick
