Recipe to make Crab Chirashi

 

Crab Chirashi recipe is a famous sushi recipe that is locally known as kani no chirashi in Japanese. Chirashi sushi is a scattered type of sushi which usually involves fresh seafood being placed on top of the sushi rice in a bowl.

Ingredients for crab chirashi recipe

  • 850 g vinegared rice

  • 1 can crab meat

  • 2 1/2 spears green asparagus

  • 1 ball mozzarella

  • 4 surimi sticks

  • 1 hard-boiled egg

  • 3 sprigs dill

How to make Crab Chirashi

  • bring water to a boil in a saucepan

  • put in the asparagus

  • cook until the asparagus is just tender

  • tear the mozzarella into strips using the tips of your fingers

  • drain the crab meat thoroughly as per the crab chirashi recipe

  • dry the crab meat with absorbent towels

  • cut the surimi sticks into thin strips

  • use a spoon to mash the hard-boiled egg

  • add the above ingredients and the vinegared rice into a mixing bowl

  • cover the bowl and let the crab chirashi rest in a cool place

  • garnish the kani no chirashi with the sprigs of dill
