Fatty Tuna And Spring Onion recipe is a great sushi recipe that is called negi-toro-maki recipe in Japan. Tuna and vinegared rice has always been a good sushi combination. Raw fatty tuna or maguro with spring onion gives you a a great sushi rice roll.

Ingredients for fatty tuna and spring onion recipe

  • 280 g vinegared rice

  • 110 g fatty tuna

  • 40 g spring onions

  • soy sauce

  • pickled ginger

  • wasabi

  • 1 sheet nori

  • makisu

How to make Fatty Tuna And Spring Onion Recipe

  • cut tuna into small pieces so that you can easily minced the tuna

  • finely chop the spring onions

  • put the finely chopped tuna and spring onions into a bowl

  • mix well

  • put a sheet of nori on the makisu

  • spread the vinegared rice on the nori

  • allow 1 cm border of nori at the bottom and as well as at the top

  • carefully dig a groove horizontally across the middle of the layer of vinegared rice

  • put some wasabi into the groove as per the fatty tuna and spring onion sushi recipe

  • spread the tuna mixture evenly into the groove

  • roll the makisu firmly and hold the tuna in place at the same time

  • make sure you press firmly over the whole length of the makisu

  • use a wet knife to cut the roll into eight pieces

  • wipe the knife after each cut with a damp cloth

  • serve the fatty tuna and spring onion roll with pickled ginger and soy sauce
