Miso Soup recipe or miso-shiru recipe is the most famous Japanese soup recipe. Miso soup is a traditional Japanese soup made up of a stock called dashi which is then mixed with miso paste. Different regions and places in Japan produces different types of miso. The Kansai region in Japan which include Kyoto, Nara, Osaka and the western part of Japan produces miso that is white and which is quite sweet while miso from the Kanto region in Japan which include eastern Japan and Tokyo is red and salty.
